When Mr Box first arrived on the Christchurch house building scene we successfully disrupted the traditional model of foundation construction.
Now we’re doing the same for the complete site preparation – with property excavation, drainage and foundations all provided quickly and confidently by one expert team.
This synchronised approach ensures our building partners can get on with doing what they do best and our clients can rest easy knowing all council and engineer inspections are taken care of. Instead of trying to organise and schedule three different sub-contractors, you’ll have peace of mind and clarity of process from one point of contact.
Preparation
We provide a total site preparation and foundation package that does the hard yards easy as. Working closely with you we provide expert guidance early in the project to ensure schedules can be met and standards bettered. We’ll set a plan in place and then execute that plan with the greatest efficiency. With one point of contact we’ll oversee all areas and coordinate all staff on site.
Design of Foundations
We provide a total service for clients from design + engineering of the foundations. For foundation engineering design, all we need is a Geotech report of our building site, building plans and truss design. We can provide:
• Conventional raft slabs for TC1 sites
• Fibre concrete slabs with special reinforcement for TC2 sites
• TC3 sites
• Retaining Walls
• Block walls
• Beams and post pad footings
Excavation
Excavation work is sometimes overlooked as a key part of the house build process –it’s seen as a necessary first step before the more important work begins. However coordinated and expert excavation can have a positive impact to the cost and timeline of the build.
Our services include site clearance, grading, foundation and basement excavation and backfill, delivery and removal of dirt and grading, piling and much more. We ensure no stone is left unturned when scoping and executing this important construction phase.
Foundation
It’s what we’re famous for. After excavation profiles are installed before the formwork, pods, steel and plumbing. After council sign-off the concrete is pumped, placed and finished. Finally, the formwork is stripped, cleaned and removed from site. No fuss, no mess –it’s that easy.
